The Japanese and American part of my collection

The Japanese and American part of my collection

This is the beginning of my ‘megasystem ‘ I’m putting together. In the end, it will be tri amplified with two BGW power amps, and the third amplifier will be provided by the fully restored Marantz 4140 in the picture. The 4140 will also serve as master control center and preamp for entire system.
All speakers will be vintage Altec drivers and horns, with crossover provided by a Behringer digital three way electronic crossover.
source gear will be:

Denon DP37F turntable with a Shure M97XL cartridge,
Bang&Olufsen RX turntable, with a soundsmith mmc3 cartridge.
Sony ES cd changers (x3), all linked together as one, holding a total of 900 CDs.
Tuner will be a Marantz 115, which matches the 4140, but restoration isn’t finished yet.
First Cassette tape deck will be Marantz 5025B
Second cassette deck will be Nakamichi RX5
Reel to reel will be Pioneer RT1020L, fully restored by me. Second reel to reel will be Bang&Olufsen 1500, restored by me
Third reel to reel will be Bang&Olufsen 1700, also restored by me
Equalization will be Behringer model 1951 four band parametric vacuum tube equalizer
Mini disc will be Sony ES series recorder
Monster power conditioner and surge protector.
All interconnects will be Audioquest
All speaker wiring ( internally and externally) will be a combination of Audioquest, and Nordost speaker cable.
Speakers will be two pairs (4 speakers) of Altec Voice of the theatre, each containing a model 515 15” Altec woofer, an Altec model 511B horn and model 808 compression drivers with titanium diaphragms, and ElectroVoice T35 tweeters.
ALL speakers in all four speaker systems will have its own, dedicated amplifier channel, frequency tuned by electronic crossover, which is being fed by equalizer before frequencies are divided and distributed to appropriate speaker driver
I anticipate having the system up and running by August 2018, and ( hopefully) have the system ‘tuned’ through eq and electronic crossover by September 2018..
Room is rectangular with a pitched roof, 17’ wide X 30’ long, with cut pile carpeting, and walls painted a custom mix of ultra flat Altec grey to match speakers. Four adjustable can lights , and two tabletop lamps illuminate the room, which is temperature controlled at 69 degrees year round. Two Overstuffed recliners, each with a side table and lamp are only furniture in room, other than equipment racks.
I hope you enjoy picture and my description of what I’m building. Thank you for taking time to read about my obsession
