JVC Nivico Model 5001W Receiver

This is a rare model receiver from the early 70's - at the moment it has some shorted output Transistors. Anyone have a manual for this unit? Instead of standard Bass and Treble controls it uses a SEA (Sound Effects Amplifier) that allows adjustments to 5 frequency ranges.

Re: JVC Nivico Model 5001W Receiver

I just replaced the output transistors (old 2SD180 - new MJ21194G) and it works great - especially for a 45 year old Receiver.. I do believe that I bought it in 1970 while in Germany with the RCAF. One of the transistors shorted out so I replaced all four as they were old of course..
I also believe that this receiver must have at least 55 Watts/ channel as it is very loud at 1/3 volume.
I did have a manual for this but have not been able to locate it.. when and If I do I will upload it.
