Re: Kenwood KR 4600 AM FM Stereo Receiver

Can anyone tell me about the jumpers on the back of the KR4600,
And how they are used. This is a beautiful reciever with its blue aura lights at night.great sound although the knob set up can be a little confusing if your not sure which one is the volume. It was in a storage locker being cleaned out and was givin to me for free. A gem waiting for someone like me to reapreciate its value and craftsmanship.any info would be appreciated thankyou

Usually a jumper connects them together. On that receiver they are labeled "adapter" This provides a line level out signal that was intended to be used with a Dolby B noise reduction system. You can also install some type of signal processor there, like an EQ or perhaps a reverb? I am fairly certain the outputs remain at a constant level, the attenuation (volume control) is located after the input jack. This is slightly different than the "Pre-Out - Main-In" you see on some other equipment.
