Re: Lafayette LA-44 Stereo/Quad Integrated Amplifier

Hi, I just got one of these and I can't find any info on it. Anyone know how old this is? Any more info?

Re: Lafayette LA-44 Stereo/Quad Integrated Amplifier

Hi, I just got two and it's 2017 and can find a pay for manual, but just have a couple questions.
Do you still have Lafayette equipment? Did you learn about the LA-44.
I'm curious about the (Reverb in rcas) (Composer out rca.) and if it has SQ, in it.
I gotta stack of Lafayette, and this one stumps me.
Thanks, Sancho Verde

It appears to be 1972. If you scroll down this page, you can see that it is listed on the front cover of the 1972 catalog. It is listed as a discrete 4 channel 170 watt stereo amplifier.

Re: Lafayette LA-44 Stereo/Quad Integrated Amplifier

The LA 44 is from 1971-72. It did not have the SW decoder. It was replaced in 1972-73 by the LA 64 which looks almost the same but has the half logic SW decoder. The composer circuit created a derived quad effect and sounded pretty good.
