Onkyo TX-8255 hi-fi stereo receiver

Onkyo TX-8255 hi-fi stereo receiver

Onkyo TX-8255 model started in 2008.
A simply stereo receiver but very well built and popular at users.
It has RDS tuner, 2x55 watt amp at 8 ohms,a lot of analog inputs, tape rec. option,
ipod docking ability, headphones out, A or B or A+B speakers selectable.
Simply but great: the toshiba transistors are fitted on a really big heat sink.
There is an oversized power transformer and two 8200 uF capacitors.
Sound: the sound is better than waited, the bass is extended and tight, midrandge is well balanced and the highs are good enough.
I use the unit with a pair of wharfedale diamond 10.2 bookshelf speakers.
The amp drives the speakers easily,it bites fast-you do not need to push the volume up higher than 10 o'clock on the volume knob.
It is not warm on the top after 3-4 hours listening.
