Re: Realistic STA-960 AM/FM Receiver

Hey Friends: I picked one of these up for my Daughter and Son in law last year as a housewarming gift. The power button snapped right off. any ideas where I could find a replacement? Or how complicated is it to swap it out with a basic simple toggle switch?

Re: Realistic STA-960 AM/FM Receiver

I have one of these receivers and have been using for several years as my bedroom system (DC, DVD, TV, etc.). This is a modification of their STA-95 and was only available a couple of years. This is an outstanding receiver. In addition to the Realistic Receivers (STA-2080, STA-78, STA-820, and STA-84), I own Marantz (4240, 4415, and 2220B), Kenwood (KA5700, KA 405) and Pioneer (SX1000). The 960 is one of my favorites. For those who may need a service manual, they can be obtained from SAMS Publication. It is in MHF-211.

My son got into vinyl last year and I got him one of these and a LAB-400 and a pair of Nova 7b's for a Christmas present. He's very happy with it. Had to replace a couple of lights but other than that, just cleaned and all and has been a workhorse. sounds awesome.
