soundcraftsmen DX3000

Would love a service manual for this item.Anyone know what op amps were used in there or have a suggestion as to what a nice upgrade might be.
I'm about to recap a unit and as long as I'm in there may as well have a go at the op amp.
Looks like JRC 6505 (x1) and JRC 6079 (x2).
But a map would be nice.
Thanks

Re: soundcraftsmen DX3000

Pretty much any current vintage compensated, unity gain stable audio op amp should work.Very good but cheap is the BB OPA134 series. For a tad more, you could go with the the current BB OPA1610/1612.I've used both of these op amp is a variety of upgrades as drop-in replacements without any problems, no oscillation and excellent sonic results.

I don't know this preamp personally but the pro3 had a very noisy phono stage with unacceptable hum. See how this behaves, at minimum, juice up the PS filtering and bypassing while recapping. If still problematic, use an external phono stage and jumper the phono input to the line level switching, eliminating the built-in phono amp entirely. Therre are very good op-amp based phono stages available for remarkably little money today that will probably sonically beat the older built-in amp. If you're a little bit handy, build or buy one of these small, one board amps, install inside the case as a replacement.

Did you ever get a manual? Just got one and its dead!

If you can add it to this data base that would be awsome

Thanks
