re: AR-91

Found a nice pair of AR91. Powered by my Kenwood KR7400, they sounded good; compared favorably to JBL L110. However, when I obtained a McIntosh C2205 and connected the AR91's, they came to life, full deep clear sound. Apparently, they need the power to open up. So I tried the L110 on the C2205 but they didnt noticeably improve. My daily listener is now the C2205 and the AR91's. The AR91 is a hidden gem when supplied with sufficient clean power. They are able to easily handle the 200 watt output of the McIntosh C2205. I'm amazed each and every time I turn it up.
