I bought this in 1978 and have not used it for about 15 years, just started it up today and it works like new. Great older system!.

re: GX-266D

Got myself an AKAI GX-266D in mint operational conditions. Alas, it's missing the wooden side panels (ref. AKAI WA-266) and dust cover (ref. AKAI DC-266).

As to the wooden panels, I can build them but I do need the correct dimensions. So, do any of you fine gentlemen have a GX266D with panels that can measure the exact lenght, width and depth and forward them to me? I also need the screws' diameter and length...

Regarding the dust cover, I'd like to buy it or try to order it made but I also need the exact dimensions and, ideally, one or more photos so that I may correctly brief the acrylic manufacturer.

Thank you so much for you time and patience.

Best regards,

re: GX-266D

I accidentally found your post doing a search for this tape deck as I am preparing to sell mine on ebay. I have the dust cover and the wooden panels. How can I send you pictures and are you still looking for the exact dimensions of these parts?

I brough this model in the 70s when it first came out.
it was around $500+ at the time, anyway i loved it but
ran into hard time and we can go from there to this.
Im looking to buy another 1 if any1 knows where i
can get one please let me know. OSC...

are you still looking for a GX-266D?

I have one of these in my garage, looks/works like new. still in original box! text me an offer, i am located in stockton, ca and have no problem shipping. it's last use was about 2 yrs ago so it may need a tune up, but probably the cleanest one out for sale at this time. call or text 407 9twotwo 71 two 5.
