I purchased my Akai GX-646 over 35 years ago and would never get rid of it. It is a beautiful looking and sounding piece of machinery.

Bought mine while stationed on Guam in 92-93. Love how long it can run. Still going strong. Gives my 7 disc cd player a run for it's money and I think it sounds warmer and fuller.

I've just replaced my 1900d-for a gx-646 and it has a powerfull and a clean analog sound,i love it.
Like old soldiers-analog sound would never die...
