Great headphones for the money . There is a new version with a 50 ohm impedance that sound great with low output devices (laptops, smart phones, mp3 players, etc.). The pads don't squeeze your head and the weight will allow listening for long periods of time. Highly recommended for the income challenged.

This awesome AKG design dates back to 1975...and like a Porsche 911, it's a classic design that keeps getting refined and improved. In my opinion, these are still the best, most accurate, detailed and natural sounding headphones available. They are also lightweight, comfortable and they breathe. Better still, the price on these has come down to the point where I now see them available on Amazon, brand-new, sold directly by AKG for under 70 bucks. Pretty amazing, especially since these will probably be the last pair of headphones you ever buy. Sure, they're cabled so you don't have the roam-around freedom of wireless headphones. Still, you get enough cord to move about your listening room with ease. Screw Beats and Bose....so overrated, overpriced and lacking in sonic excellence. I slapped a pair of these AKG's on my son's noggin and now I can't get them back. If you love picking up ALL the details in a musical program, buy these.
