Fantastic Amp. I paired it with Pioneer HPM 100 (V2 200W rating). This amp has so much headroom it will bottom the voice coils before many notable distortion. I have dealt with professional power amps in the past but none come close to the clean sound the Ashly delivers. The amp will deliver full power at -20 dbm input, which is a plus when paired with a Hi-Fi unit.I like the sound of Pioneer systems and paired this with my SA-708. It did not disappoint, as it brought my system up several notches.

re: FET-500

After operating a few hours, at high output, I smelled something burning. The sound was good.Inside the unit there is a thermistor, located on the back terminal board (Where the AC power cable is connected) which had split, but still worked. This is used to limit the inrush current when the unit is turned on. The numbers didn't match anything I could find. I used a CL-40 thermistor to replace it. This is 5 ohms cold and ~0.5 ohms hot. If it were to completely fail, the fan will run slowly, and no audio output from either channel will occur. This has female terminals that simply plug into the terminal strip. All I had to do was solder terminals to the new one and plug it into the strip. The thermistor was available from ebay.
Since I cannot find a schematic on this unit, I thought I would share my experience. The amp is running great!
