re: Reference 30

When I power the unit on it says please wait it stays that way for quite a while and never shuts off nothing changes how do I reset it how do I fix this problem. Please help me fix this problem. I sure could use a owners manual.

re: Reference 30

Hi,

It looks like you need to try a factory reset. This is from the owner's manual:

----------------------------------------------------------------
FACTORY RESET

Should you ever need to completely reset the processor to the original factory settings from the front panel press the SLEEP, DOWN, and MENU buttons simultaneously. The processor will perform a complete reset and erase all user programmed presets, menu settings, and the memory backup if you have performed one.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Note, this will erase all of your configuration!

re: Reference 30

Hi Rob, thanks for any help. I have a b&k reference 30 too, I did follow your advice to reset but “Zone 1 off” is displayed until I press sleep. The unit responds to input presses very slowly. The unit now only plays direct with analogue input only and output through V1 or 2 (not any output such as front or surround etc). Key point is no digital audio or analogue input through cd, dvd connections etc will work. Any idea which card is bad? Do you have replacements? Thanks for any help.
