Stereo receivers are just not built like this anymore. Killer Stereo Receiver with tank-like build quality. Beautiful warm Carver sound. The TFM stands for Transfer Function Modified which means it is designed to sound like one of Carvers acclaimed Tube Amps. Nice sounding phono input. CD direct. Bass, Mid, and Treble controls are perfectly centered at usable frequencies. Same for the loudness switch.... the contour added is perfect for low listening levels. 2 tape loops, AWESOME sounding tuner with ACCD for stereo noise reduction on weak stations. Sonic Hologram generator built in which requires serious and careful speaker placement - and can be amazing if done properly, but can be switched out by remote for instant comparison or if it is not your thing. Pre main OUT and IN Jacks actually makes this an excellent separate Preamp and main power amp in one chassis. Has a nice simple remote. Notice I kept referring to the excellent sound on all inputs more than once? that is what this thing does.
Enormous power (even more into 4 ohms for which it is rated), huge dynamics,
Notice I kept referring to it's sound?
