That thing looks cool. Every now and then I listen to cds for the nostalgia factor. I had a black ADAT for a while that took s-VHS tapes at 16 bit. That thing almost sounded as wonderful as a cd.
Right now I'm listening to the KJZZ Phoenix 98.9 FM blues show - (6:00 to 11:00 Sundays) on an Ampex Music Center from the early '60's. It sounds great, even if some of the cds he plays skip.
I'll listen to 8-tracks ( in the early, mid, late morning - but never at dusk! ) or spin records and run them through a tube amp, or sometimes even listen to u-tube or mp3 stuff. It's all worthy.
If you do open that thing up (may void warranty!) I bet it's really a fine piece of engineering.

A lovely player

Hello guys,

I'm the proud owner of this lovely cd-spinner. Very analogue-like feel to it, with an incredibly realistic tone, truth of timbre and believable music flow. Not far behind a good table. If you ever came across one, just snap it up. Very rare in the second hand market. Not difficult to wonder why. A real keeper. Haven't ever thought about parting with it.

A minor drawback or quibble is the noise it makes when the drawer is empty. Something about an auto-realignin' function. Otherwise an absolute peach, with impecable build quality as well. Wholeheartedly recommended.
