I bought one of thse in January 2016 to replace my ageing Harman Kardon.

Denon have always had a reputation for producing quality kit and this model does not let them down.

A bit of a lightweight at 80 WPC and so not recommended for larger rooms the features on this receiver more than make up for the lack of power.

With Dolby atmos straight out of the box and Dolby DTS-X via a free firmware upgrade AND HDCP 2.2 compliance this beastie is well equipped for anything the future can throw at it..

And thats not all..

The unit is equipped with full bluetooth and wi-fi capabilities for such things as spotify etc.

Setting up was fuss free with clear and concise instructions displayed on the TV screen via HDMI...

If you are of a lazy dispostion the unit comes equipped with the Audyessy speaker set up system but i personally don't use them-bit of a fiddler i am and such a device takes the fun out of setting up a system in my opinion.

The sound quality is no less than we would expect from a denon with subtle tones with music and explosive bass from movie soundtracks with little or no distortion at higher levels .

This receiver can be had for less than £300 which when you consider the features is quite a feat in itself when you compare it to models going for £200 more that are not as well equipped.

The only black cloud and the factor stopping it from attaining the top score was the remote which i found to be rather flimsy albeit functional.

A quality amp an affordable price.

Certainly recommended.
