Battleship build second-from-top of the range machine from the late 80s, twin Burr-Brown DACs for a really nice full warm sounding sound, particularly good bass for those who think CD can sound 'thin'.
1 star deducted for not being the prettiest machine ever...

Wonderfull player. I bought my one 1987 (Paid 5600 SEK, about $600US then i guess). It was still working when i gave it to a friend 1998!(the last few years i had a external DAC, Alchemy(?)).

Why can't they build that level of quality these days? I hear on forums often about people having to repair Hi End modern machines (the laser), after just a few years....

Now running a Rotel RCD971 since 2000, still sounding great!
