I have this amp for a while, first thing I notice is much much better BASS and Treble than my Onkyo A8170, like three times. Very good dynamic, but is lacks of clarity. Most frustrating is a volume pot, at low volume is quite unlinear, I hear left channel much louder than right, but somewhere around 1/3 of volume they become equal all the way. But on that 1/3 of volume is pretty much loud, so I bought Yamaha GE20 witch have a Output Level control whitch is a great feature for me.
All in all I am satisfied with this amp

My favorite solid state integrated amplifier......a BEAST! Can be used as a pre amplifier too....PURE DENON QUALITY.

Thank you for your timely comment, it is just the information that I needed and hoped for.

re: PMA-700V

I have recently purchased an AT LP120 turntable so that I can move many of my LPs to a CD format. I would like to use a better preamp than the one that is built into the LP120. I have a PMA 700V on the shelf and I would like to use just the preamp portion of the unit. My question is can I use the the "processor loop" output as the output of the preamp and if so at this stage has the RIAA equalization been included in the audio output?

This is probable over kill for the intended purpose but it would save me the cost of purchasing a good quality stand alone preamp. Any input, no pun intended, would be greatly appreciated.

re: PMA-700V

Yes, either a tape or processor loop should work fine, both coming just before the volume control and power stages. I once used a redundant Cyrus integrated amp as a phono stage so I understand where you are coming from :)

re: PMA-700V

I own this amp with a canton karat 930 speakers ,im satisfied with the performance of this combination..bt im thinking of upgrading this setup to give more detailed sound...does a external dac (digital to analogue converter) do any help..im interested to buy dac only if it increases the sound quality quit noticeably...and also in the description of the pma 700v shown in this page,i see 107db (line) in the signal to noise ratio...what is this (line)...?...right now i have connected my ipad output to the tuner input in back of receiver..does this (line) means some other input in the backside...?
