A Great pre amplifier with a balancing output and excellent phono input as well ! Also can connect a power subwoofer of your choice ! A+++++

Its a nice looking and well working pre amp. Its Hifi but not the top off the world. Everything sounds very clear but the voices come more out of the speaker in stead of out of the room. So my conclusion is that the 3D stage is not so well. I changed the opamps to better BB opamps but the sound did not change or get much better. Its about the same. The best feature is the volume knob that can be adjusted very carefully and has a full half turn before getting loud. Personally I now used it on a tube amp with tannoy HPD385 speakers. My hand build Pre amp sounds much better. Its not a bad product but it is certainly not the reference.

PRA-1500 schematic errors

The 3 voltage regulators (IC14, 15 & 16) have their pins mislabeled in the schematic. For example IC14 is a +18VDC regulator. The schematic shows the 26.9V input voltage going to pin 3 which is the device's output pin.

Capacitor C452 (330uf/16V Monitor Out) on circuit board KU9177-3 is mislabeled as C457 in the schematic. The actual C457 capacitor is the filter cap on the +15V power rail for this same PCB.
