Description
The Dynaco SE-10 Equalizer is such a versatile product that we are tempted to think of it as the creative component.
We believe it may be helpful to provide you with a list of some of its uses.
Listening rooms seldom have excellent or even uniform acoustical properties. The judicious use of the Dynaco Equalizer can improve listening realism by compensating for excessive reflection or absorption of certain frequencies.
The SE-10 Equalizer can help make fine speaker systems extraordinary, by smoothing normal variations at crossover points and between drivers.
Although all discs use a standard RIAA playback characteristic curve to obtain a flat response, virtually every disc is also equalized during the recording session or when mixing down. This is most often accomplished by the choice of a microphone which possesses frequency shaping for a given instrument, or by actually altering the frequency spectrum. The SE-10 can be used to restore the disc to its natural sonic state.

I bought this unit in the 1970s for I think about $250 - worth every penny - wonderful piece of equipment, and it still works perfect. Audiofile quality. Very clean sound with no distortions - makes even a good system sound absoutely dynamite. Ten ranges per channel just can't be beat for fine tuning. They can be had on Ebay for under $100.
