I am an original owner of the Fisher 201. I haven't used it in over 30 years and it works just as I left it. It has old tube richness and brings back old memories. The station light died around 2 years after owning it so I wrote with magic marker on top of the brushed aluminum frame the stations I liked .....too bad the stations are no longer around.

This is one hell of a good sounding and beautifully looking small receiver. Can listen to it all day long. Great stuff.

Fisher 201

I just cleaned up and bench tested one of these beauties and it does have that rich old sound that just doesn't come through the new equipment. It had the usual burnt out Stereo Beam lights, but I had left over LL8 lamps from the last old Fisher I fixed and got them easily replaced. Fisher was still making some great stuff at this time.
