This 630 had been stored for years but given a clean and plugged into a Bluetooth receiver it plays Spotify all day. It is a quality amp with a warm pleasant sound. I have matched it with new Dali Spektor2 speakers and an old Dual CS503 turntable as it has a nice pre-amp phono setup. The control knobs are solid aluminium alloy and it even has dual channel split bass & treble control. The dual power supply gives plenty of power to the speakers way above the stated RMS/channel.

Dual mono (two transformers), clean internal layout, very robust construction with delightfully knurled, solid aluminum knobs. Dial lights shut off automatically when FM/AM not in use. Output transistors mounted outside rear panel, inside metal grill, for maximum heat dissipation. Can be used as a pre-amplifier to good effect. Warm sound, very attractive, clean look especially without optional wood case.

re: 630

I bought mine in 1974 from a local HiFi shop here in Australia. It cost me A$340 (I found the receipt today). My daughter is taking possession of it tomorrow. $340 would probably have been about 1-1/2 week's wages at the time (I was on good money as an electronics tech).
