A lovely player, audibly sounds great to me, but my ears aren't as sensitive as some.

Exceptionally easy to use, albeit there's not a huge amount of controls needed for a single disc player. The line output volume control helps very well with normalizing the volume with other components in my setup.

Loading mechanism seems well made, if a little noisy, although that's likely to be expected of its age. (And is only during opening or closing of the tray)

The only downsides I find are that it can be a little slow to change tracks (only when the user is intentionally skipping through a disc, playback it's fine)

The only other is that the entire loading mechanism relies on a small rubber belt to work, if this belt stretches then the mechanism is unable to lower to disc onto the motor or clamp it down for playback.
Replacement of this belt is somewhat awkward as the entire loading tray must be removed from the unit for access (although it is Parthenon noting that all the connections are plugs rather than solder joints, I suspect HK expected this belt to need replacement periodically)
