I don't agree with these comments. Having owned a 3 pak which itself is a fantastic amp, I purchased a second hand obelisk 100 on Ebay. Did a full recap, set all 4 bias pots at the recommended 10.5mV and WOW. Best amp by far that i have heard except for hi end tube/valve amps and all for £150. Running a Linn lp12 into it and royd prior speakers, no distortion, no instability issues and only warm at half volume

I agree with michael habla. This amp is a big problem for bias control and stability. Thermal problems. Easy to oscillate. In case of faulty it damage the speakers. Power transformer too small, it turn to high temperature during listen. Bridge circuit like the most cheap car stereo amplifiers.

Very very problematic.

poor thermal feedback for bias control, easily gets knocked out.
bridge output circuitry questionable.
120 va torodial transformer makes poutput power specs questionable.
poor and instable design, sorry to say.
