In July 2019, he bought a Victor AX-Z711 amplifier at an auction in Japan for little money. Without instructions and remote control, but in very good condition. The previous owner, apparently, did not use it much. For which many thanks to him. I am delighted with this device. All my desires came true. The appearance is gorgeous. The sound is beyond praise. Words are hard to express admiration for this device. It’s hard to believe that he is already 30 years old! Acoustics used - DIATONE DS-77HRX. The sound source is CD Player VICTOR XL-Z711.

I have owned my AX-Z911 from new in the late 80s. I agree, it is a wonderful Amp. It has had a small problem for a few years and never bothered repairing. - When turning the unit on from cold, the power protection circuit turns the unit off again until it has warmed up after about 2 minutes it automatically turns back on again. Apart from that, it is a fantastic sound, especially in 'PURE digital' mode. I still have the original box, multi-language instruction manual and Remote.
I could be persuaded to part with it I imagine. :-)

I've had some amplifiers in my time, and although it's not the most powerful, it blows everything away. This amplifier is a rare 20kg super Japanese beast, and should be sought at all costs. I've sourced 2 more for friends. They couldn't believe how good it is. All the money Japanese Victor company made from selling millions of Vhs recorders in the 80s, they invested into the 911 range. The frequency response is something only dogs can hear. They bark outside when you turn this up. ESSENTIAL.

Totally agree. This is something special.
What JVC/Victor engineers did was superb.
The DAC is outstanding and the same along the the analog inputs.
It's only pitty that the Remote does not switch it on/off.
Sound stage is amazing mainly using the digital inputs.
I load it by MD Sony via optical and CD player JVC XL Z 431 by the other one.
This works with clarity and reality 1:1 how it was recorded.
There is no need to have any equalizer or bass/Treble corrections.
It beats all Marantz,Harman,Denons.
The only similar full rich sound you can get from Sansui,Luxmans.
The power matters even for low volume.there you would recognize the benefit.
Strongly reccomend it to all hifi fans who continue to search for perfect sound. Buy this one.

A wonderful amplifier! I don't know what sort of dark magic the engineers at JVC were invoking when they designed this thing but it certainly works.

What makes this amplifier so special is that it manages to combine effortless power, low-end extension and grip, delicately open and spacious imaging with a sparkling top-end.

Low-impedance, difficult to drive loudspeakers are not a problem for the AX-Z911.
