Manual Service JVC RX- 517VTN

Am needing the manual service of RX-517VTN or RX-516V or RX-718V. It can help me. Thank you.

Did you find your service manual?

I am beginning to have problems with the audio output. It works inconsistantly. It started as a significant volume decrease, occasionally. Now still occurs and at regular volume there is mixed in a noise like a very rapid repetative "chirp". Chirp occurs about 20 / second and chirp has frequency about 1000hz.

I am considering replacing the entire unit. My first JVC was a tuner/amplifier bought in early 1977, I think a JRS-100. Very good product, eventually replaced due to obsolescence and finally damaged to point of no repair by lightning in 1998.
