re: RX-8V

I set up a JVC RX-8V receiver, and had it working earlier today, FM and Turntable. Now I can not get the FM to work. There is a light on the display that says "FM Mute". I have pressed the mute button, all of the tape buttons to see if the tape monitor was on. I can not get the light to go off. The display shows no signal strength now, but it worked fine before. Plus, there is no static sound. I have tried speakers and headphones. I am very vision impaired, so I could be missing something. I also have not worked with analog equipment in a LONG time, so don't know if that comes into play. Thanks for any help. David
