re: GE-7030

Nice clean sound, no detectable distortion added into the ecosystem. However, not sure if it's just my unit, but drops the volume about 3db.

'paremetric' function is nice, but only allows 3 adjustment points where one can adjust the center point (frequency), level and band-width of the effect.

Love vs hate

Graphic Equalizers, hifi buffs love or hate 'em! If you record any music on cassette or CD an equalizer can be very useful to correct any inadequacies in frequency response, additionally I find that living in a block of flats, bass can be a problem for neighbors, turning down the bass control makes things better, but can spoil the sound, an equalizer can turn down a specific bass band just the right amount that will stop the bass honking into your neighbors flat, without spoiling you own enjoyment. This Kenwood unit gives a nice clean sound delivery, possibly helped with the exceptionally low level of distortion.
