I've always liked the slimline Kenwood gear, and tis one's no exception. Clean quiet operation, and really excellent cosmetics.
Sonically, this is a big step up from the KA-60 with better bass extension, and a big, wide open sound. The power pack outputs are no longer available, so be careful when servicing (kind of like a KA-9100...great sound when they work!)
The front panel hinges are typically broken on poorly cared for units, and often the from panel door is missing...when properly cared for though, this flip up door looks great!
If you need more power, or a more reliable amplifier find a KA-701 or 801 (full size units from this series. Hard to beat the KA-80 for a compact vintage amp though!

A clean sounding amp with a good phono MM stage
but the stereoperspective is on the narrow side
which makes it rather compact sounding.
Probably a result of using STKs as output stage.
