never has this amp disappointed me.

Tired of new, micro plastic modernity I sought out a decent classic tuner (Accuphase T101) and CD player (Arkan) and then I had to find an amp. I bought this on ebay and when it arrived I thought I must have bought a car engine it is so heavy. Plugged it in, turned it on and it is silent and powerful enough to run the Quad speakers ar around 35% volume. Lovely piece of kit and I recommend if you find one buy it.

Excellent sound that is clear with a hint of warmth with good transients, has a great phono stage and a smooth performer. The build qualty is superb and puts many modern components to shame, I like it very much.

re: KA-9100

I bought the KA-9100 from the US (120v), but it does not have the switch to select to the appropriated UK/EU (220-240v) voltage. I would prefer not to use it with a step-down transformer (but if it is the case what wattage for an amp that has 90w per channel? 1000watts should that be enough?) the but at the same time, I do not know if a modification is feasible. The model is 'K' for the US market. Here (Cambridge-UK) I don't know any technicians/experts on KA-9100' restoration. Any advice or help will be great. Thanks

KA-9100 Owners manual

I picked up a KA-9100 at an estate sale recently, in beautiful condition. I would really love to get the owners manual. If you have one, could you please post it here? Or let me know where to find one? Thanks!

re: KA-9100

The alternate scan of the service manual is higher resolution and also has the large foldout pages 15-16, unlike the other scan which is missing these pages. They are the preamp circuit.

Just finished "Re-Capping" a 9100 for a customer!! What a BEAR to work on, but what a great sound when it was finished!! Super clear and powerful!! Maybe I can talk him into selling it!!

re: KA-9100

Amazing integrated amp. Bought mine at a yard sale ages ago, brought it home and it didn't work. Sat on a shelf for years. Just got around to fixing it, main drivers were blown. Easy fix. I've been enjoying it ever since. This amp has some serious kick. Enjoying the low end via vinyl.

re: KA-9100

Hi , any info you could share on replacing those main
drivers? I picked up one of these amps and it won’t power up . All fuses are good . I know your comments from three years back but I hope to hear from you thanks !
