re: KR-3060

Unfortunately, this model is frequently confused with the KR-A3060 from the 1990's, it ain't the same. For a slightly above "basic" unit this Kenwood gives you a very good FM front end and a very rare (in this price range) high filter. At 22wpc it won't knock down walls but it's honest power and enough to drive efficient speakers like the EPI-100's to neighbor annoying levels. THD and IM of 0.8% was acceptable for mid 1970's basic+ receivers. Would have liked a signal strength meter too and another tape loop but it does have an AUX input. I like the blacked out (back lit) dial scale, very slick and stylish. For a medium size room with speakers from EPI, Genesis, AR, Micro Acoustics etc. this receiver could be the heart of a nice, vintage sound system. Quality built with that Kenwood semi-industrial look.
