Sound is pretty good, I cannot feel source-tape difference, my best recordings are made on this deck. But the weak side of it is motorized cassette door and hard to service tape transport. Motorized cassette door parts are not durable and quite unreliable. Eventually it will refuse to eject your cassette or open the cassette door. The reason is not only weak belts, but also other poor quality mechanical parts driving the door mechanism. Moreover, tape transport and cassette door mechanism made very hard to repair. Just to replace the belts you will have to disassemble the whole tape transport and spend all day fixing it. Also, when modern belts are far not so good, the problem may appear once a year again.
