Kenwood M-65 midi system

The download of the M-65 insruction manual has been invaluable despite being in Italian!I had recently been given an M-65 system in excellent condition but without any instructions connecting leads or remote control. At long last I now know that the model number for the remote is RC-65E and I can begin the search for a replacement.I cant believe how many different models there are just for the Kenwood company! If anyone knows if the various midi systm remotes are inter changeable please let me know.

Remote Controls for Kenwood Midis

I have two similar Kenwood Midis. Most of the Remote Controls of that age (1980s & 90s) are intechangeable. Means common buttons works with any model like Power on/off, Tape and CD Play/Rew/FF/Stop, Tuner band/Memory etc. Infrared signal for a particular function is unique to Kenwood and it works on most models.

I have an aftermarket $3 remote (chinese made in the recent years) and it operates most functions in my both MIDIs.

The MIDIs are well made and music to Ears as well as to the EYES. Looks and works like new after a quarter of a century!
