I bought a new pair of RF-42 II speakers.
Twitters are good. Detailed enough but provide for a more technical sound than musical. Some would say it is accurate. Well I believe there should more to that. Detailed yes but not accurate. Take for example high pitched sound form cymbals, violin etc. They do not sound like real instruments.
Going down to the bottom end thing are getting worse. Mids are ok, but they do not integrate well with the bottom octaves. Bass is the worst part of that speaker. There is no way that I can get accurate bass in mid-sized room (cca. 20-30 square meters) no matter the shape of the room. And that bass-reflex makes the bass very boomy. No room treatment could have solve that.
The speakers are best for near field listening. Other than that I find them almost useless.
