re: C-12 Luxman Preamplifier
The tactile feel of this device is of course excellent, smooth and reassuring. The included "linear Equalizer" is almost perfect. It is very useful for adjusting for the variances in recordings without disturbing the outboard EQ settings used to get a flat response for the room acoustics. The most impressive fact is that I can HEAR a very distinct improvement in sound quality using a truly blind A/B comparison using other well thought of preamps. The same old thing, WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING ? You have to love this hobby, the never ending quest for "a little bit better". Thanks to my brother Thomas for providing this preamp and a great big THANK YOU to HiFi Engine for this great rescource.
