Anyone here know if there is a variable resistor somewhere in the schematic to control transport speed? The service manual does not address this. I assume there is not, but would appreciate commentary on this. Speed is slightly off on my deck reading 2.92 Khz for a 3Khz reference signal.

transport speed can be adjusted with a small pot hiding in the back of the motor assembly. There is a small hole near the bottom of the motor's rear cover, and this is where the adjustment is.
