I have found an L-1 for just 50 euros, and I am just amazed.... Looks a bit old, but charming, I find, much nicer in reality than on pictures, with a pleasant feeling when touching the buttons, particularly the source, firm, strong, quality feel... But most importantly, the sound : very detailed and musical. I am used to NAD, which I keep and love, but this Luxman provides details and clarity that I didn't hear before ; I thought it was because of old recordings [Andreï Gavrilov, Scriabin (24 préludes + Sonata), and Rachmaninov, both DDD's from the 80's], but with this amp, the sound now opens. It sounds beautifully, listened on (old) Mission 700 Leading Edge speakers, it feels nothing has aged a day...
