The Luxman L-31 was designed to seek the best cost performance and to attain simplicity yet retaining the necessary features for true Hi-Fi from the viewpoint of practical use after an exhaustive review of current amplifiers in terms of both circuit and function.

Simple circuit but produces a wonderful sound . Damping factor of 90 help a lot.
If repairing one, be aware of hidden dry solder joints around output transistor socket as they will cause output to fail instantly.
Replace DC offset and Bias trim pots if you can. BE CAREFUL !! Solder tracks are quite fragile and will damage if prolonged heat is applied. Paired with T33 tuner , produces quite nice, warm sound.
I must add, one of the better Luxman's i repaired and owned...
(tested with DALI Concept 6 and Paradigm 9se mkII)
