Rare and amazing power amplifier that gives hard time to most modern amp, especially when paired with 3200 pre-amp.

Model 140 power Stero amplifier , it's quite good looking with the big VU meter display for its size.
75w, per chanel is quite capable of handling moderate set of spekers.
Still I haven't able to find marantz 3200 pre amplifier which is recommended for this bad boy.
But one of my friend highly recommend this pair which he enjoys music for a couple of years.

At present I hook up Marantz 140 to my McIntosh C29. No words to describe it. Totally satisfied about the sounds. Only worrying is black and silver face plate un matching for its look (McIntosh c29 is black and Marantz 140 is Sliver and it's measurements as well) Even that I like its Nice looking blue color big VU meters.
I was lucky to get this unit almost brand new condition (seems to be very low hours usage )
So hopefully it will do the job for many years. And also recommend it produce the similer MARANTZ sound like other units in Golden Era (1970- early 1980) of Marantz units .

page for 3200

I set up a 140 with 3200 Pre. with a couple of L-100 JBL speakers a while ago. Sounds quiet satisfactory even though the speakers where not both of the same age and the Pre. Had some work done. With these speakers you should be careful not to take the volume too high.

There should be a page for the 3200 Pre. and the accompanying receiver too.

I really loved this one because it is not too big and still sounds quiet good.
