re: CD-11

I own a Marantz CD 11mkII. I took it in for repair but they have been unable to get it to work.

Issue: the CD drawer will not open. The repairman replaced bands/washers (not sure what to call them) but it only worked once or twice then stopped.

He didn't have the part number so he improvised. Any suggestions?

re: CD-11

Did this realy cost £2500 new. If you want to know how it sounds put an entry level cd player on and sit under a pile of winter coats.

re: CD-11

Well, Pomp has obviously never heard one that is for sure.... I have one here and have owned it since new and it has always been fantastic to listen to especially through the 15" Tannoys in the style 4 Cabinets(read the largest 4 port boxes). I have also recently purchased one of those shiny stainless steel CD Players with a choice of Valve or OP-Amp outputs which sounds pretty good too especially with HDCD playing. FYI I also have the matching DD-92 DCC unit as well. I could post some internal photos of the acres of copper and nice shielding inside these units. Balanced Output on the CD as well. Incredibly well made extremely heavy and solid.

re: CD-11

Sadly i did own a cd11 mk1 it was lifeless and dull but i hear the mk2 is very good.
