The CD583 CD player is built to the same standards as the advanced Marantz component players.

The same 16-bit DAC with four times oversampling and digital filtering gives outstanding musical performance.

The CD583 features shuffle play, repeat, direct track access and a 20 track memory.

In addition, a synchronized recording facility feature triggers the system cassette deck for perfect recordings.

re: CD583

The Philips CD582 appears to be nearly identical to the Marantz CD583. The main cct board of my 583 certainly matches the CD582 service manual available on this site, except that the microprocessor has an OEM part number instead of the standard Motorola number shown on the diagram.
