Marantz Model 19 - Worth repairing?

Scope is not turning on at all. I think one of the channels is out too according to my dad. Seems like replacement parts are hard to find. Is this thing even worth repairing and if so could someone please recommend a technician in the Washington DC area? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

re: Marantz Model 19 - Worth repairing?

Try cleaning all the switches and control pots with contact cleaner/tuner cleaner, the kind you find at radio shack.
I like Deoxit D5 by Caig Laboratories.
If your house was a smokers house, buy a couple of cans. Helpful: Some canned air or compressed air set below 50 psi.
Unplug everything (especially the power)
Place it on a bench where the drips won't damage the work surfaces.
Put down newspapers or a towel you don't mind getting stained.
Take the covers off, carefully noting where each different screw goes, and saving them in a safe place.
Begin by blowing out the dust, a vacuum with an exhaust port can work for the gross dust, compressed air is far better.
Locate each control and follow where the body appears on the inside, find a crack or other opening in the body of the control and liberally douche it with cleaning fluid while rotating or pushing the button. If lots of dirty fluid comes out, rinse and repeat until clear.
Complete cleaning cycle with compressed air. Let dry for several hours, tilt at various angles several times, if drips continue to drip, let it continue to dry.
Find any fuses, only pulling one-at-a-time, clean the glass and check the tiny wire is in-tact end to end. If black or flashed-over, this is a problem (there may be more) replace only with the same size and rating, a hardware store can help you find the correct replacement. This will fix most easy problems.
I'm not sure what you mean by the "scope"? the gyro wheel that tunes the radio? The fix depends on your answer.
