I bought one of these for next to nothing, cleaned it up. I had a pair of Polk 7Bs that sounded poor with my Pioneer SX-1000TW, was going to get rid of them, but hooked them up to the Marantz, and voila, one of those strange audio alchemies, they sounded good. My AudioTechnica ATH-MSR7s sound very detailed with it. Those 21 watts per channel RMS are enough to drive everything I have to good listening volumes at 11 o'clock of the volume knob, but then again, it was a point of pride to understate power ratings back then, as compared with the absurd claims for 5.1 and 7.1 garbage now. Very visually and tactilely pleasing, too. Low end for Marantz, but carries the Marantz sound.
