re: MCD201

hi, may I ask you if is the McIntosh MDC 201 pickup simply replaceble by a Sony KHS-313 pickup and how difficult is this job?
Thank you in advance,

re: MCD201

I have a problem with laser pickup for this player. In original CD mechanism is Raymedia RL-S880 wich manufacturer signed like very Hi-Def cd mecha. On original laser head is labeled with next number: 3446303F4 in first line and CSZVn00n80D on second line. When i explore on Google about this number, there is no information. In my personal stock i have original Sony KHS-313 laser head. On the first look, probably is the same. I put it on CD and CD works very fine with them. After that i was again ask Google for laser head and find on some Russian site next information: In MCD-201 is originaly Sanyo SF-HD62 head and is the same like KHS-313 or KHM-313 head. Also SF-HD62 is the same like SF-HD60. In the very expensive CD playerr is the laser head from 10 Euro in the first electronic shop in Belgrade,Serbia. :-)
