Terrible rock boxes of much woolly bass and no midrange in my opinion, though I have come across many more positive opinions so perhaps mine were defective in some way.

Personally I think these were Mission's headbanger range however; designed for showroom appeal and exaggerated bass rather than any serious listening.

The 703s are probably the worst offenders in the range since the design entails lots of boxy resonance, but they're all best avoided unless very cheap - like my scruffy examples, which just sold for £15.

The 73* Mission range are vastly superior, and available cheaply enough to give these a miss.

re: 703

yes they are very bassy.
yes they are headbanger speakers.

i find the trick we these speakers in my opinion is positioning. keep them at least 2.5 meters from each other and mid range improves, highs are smoother and bass is less exaggerated.

if you get a good price grab them. and just rock it out dude!

if you want to hear classical, you can use 737 renaissance.
