I give it a 10 because this 1984 model sounds so good in 2017.
The sound of A1 is warm, very warm and full of emotion. Highs are balanced, sweet, emotional and pleasant. The sound of violin is real and there is no harshness. Voices are true and the soundstage is very good. Bass is full ,too.
The sound of A1 is an internal experience.
The amplifier gets very hot indeed, as a radiator.

I use Audio Spectrum speakers from a Greek high end manufacturer. He uses Seas tweeters and woofers. The Seas tweeters are really high end devices but they can sound harsh if the amplifier isn't polite. The A1 gives them refined power so their sound is sweet and relaxed.
