I have extremely mixed feelings about this amp.

When it works, it's a tank. It has a warm, clear tone and will drive anything you throw at it without complaint.

Unfortunately, when it works isn't nearly as often as you'd think.

The first one I got 16 months out of before it suffered from the serious damage mentioned in the technical bulletin, which involved quite a loud bang and a surprising amount of smoke and fire.

Off it went to be serviced, coming back with the same heat-warped top panel and a few new caps. I got about 16 months out of these ones too before I had to put it out again.

This time, the service department sent me an entire replacement amplifier at no cost.

This time I got a solid 3 years out of it before it decided to start clipping at any volume, from any input, to any output.

And since then it's been gathering dust as I occasionally contemplate if it's worth yet another service because after all, when it works, it's a tank.

I used my C372 for 12 years - what a stalwart. Powerful, quiet, defeatable tone controls, remote that operates the rest of your NAD stack, and speaker A/B on the remote that I used often for comparing speakers, or crossover improvements. I ended up bridging mine for 300-400W mono (!) paired with a C272. Bought new separates at 5X the price and the improvements are subtle.
