I bought this receiver back around 2003 to replace my separate components of a GAS Ampzilla II amp, a GAS Theobe pre-amp. And a Carver tuner. I no longer had space for these and sold them. I still have the Carver in my office setup with an integrated amp. It doesn’t have nearly the power of my 200 watt rms Ampzilla, but is adequate for driving my Dahlquist DQ 10’s with an M&K subwoofer in my small sunroom. The NAD is clean, quiet and musical. These are power hungry speakers and the receiver will clip to protect itself if overdriven. I did this to test it and it happened at much higher than my normal listening levels. If you have demanding speakers, a large room, and listen loudly, get more power. But for any normal setup this will be more than adequate.
