This stereo receiver is simply the best one I have had, including many brands over the 40+ years I have been indulging myself in this hobby. The power of 70 watts rms per channel (I would say is underrated) produces extremely clear high and low notes. The tuner section has a great capture ratio, and if the pre-set memory is lost, all you have to do is replace two AA batteries on the bottom of the cabinet! I thought I would have to take it to a tech to replace capacitors or another part on a printed circuit board, but Onkyo made it extremely easy for us by changing common batteries without taking the cabinet apart. This a an 'under the radar' receiver and it is worth the hunt.

As good as it gets for an affordable post-70s receiver. Smooth and detailed sound with any speakers, either low or high efficiency. Nice sleek design for a 33 pound monster FET receiver.
