I've owned, and extensively used this radio since 1982. I think I paid about $50 for it which back then was a lot of money for a kid of 16. It was one of the smallest radios at the time. I needed a radio that would fit in my pocket as I rode my bicycle 10 miles to work everyday at the age of 16. (IT WAS VERY, VERY, HIGH TECH FOR 1982.)

I still have the original packaging including the earphone, instruction manual, warranty card, list of repair centers, and even the foam packing sleeve. It's in pristine condition. Not a scratch on it. You couldn't tell it apart from a new one right off the store shelf.

When I discovered this little gem, I contacted hifiengine.com in hope of finding out how unique this model was and what it might be valued at in a completely pristine condition along with the fact that it was totally complete as originally sold. I put some AAA batteries in it and pow!!, . . It fired right up and sounded as good as when I bought it.

I had a chuckle when I read, in the instruction manual, that AAA batteries could be found at a photography store. Electronics, let alone anything, at that time, rarely used this type of rare battery. I saw the exact same model on an online auction that was asking $60 for the radio only, without any of the original packaging and accessories.

Well, . . I guess, at least it's held its value thru all these years. Mostly, I was just in awe reminiscing about the great adventures we had together back in the days of my youth along with my memories of my 1st job at the age of 16. Good memories !
